Putin Discusses Recent Drone Attack on Kremlin with Venezuelan President

Venezuelan President Nicolas Maduro, during a telephone conversation with Russian President Vladimir Putin, expressed support for Moscow after the recent incident with a drone attack on the Kremlin. About it reported in the press service of the President of Russia.

“Nicolas Maduro strongly condemned the Kyiv regime’s attempt to strike the Kremlin territory with unmanned aerial vehicles, expressing feelings of solidarity and support for Russia on behalf of the people of Venezuela,” the report said.

It is specified that the telephone conversation was held at the initiative of Caracas. During the conversation, the leaders of the states also discussed topical issues on the strategic partnership between Russia and Venezuela, including issues related to the implementation of projects in the trade, economic, energy and humanitarian fields. Putin and Maduro agreed to continue contacts at various levels.

The presidents last called on March 1, 2022. At that time, the events around Ukraine were in the spotlight. Maduro also expressed support for Russia and condemned the destabilization actions of the United States.

Kyiv denies involvement in the attack. The UN previously also urged the parties to avoid steps leading to an escalation of the conflict. Today at the White House emphasizedthat the US had nothing to do with the drone attack on the Kremlin.
