Russian President Vladimir Putin announced the need to significantly reduce the cost of delivering spacecraft into low-Earth orbit. He said this at a meeting on the development of the space industry.
This, in his opinion, will stimulate the mass launch of satellites, including small devices. An important aspect, according to Putin, is ensuring access for private technology companies to space infrastructure.
The President also emphasized that without meeting these conditions, it is impossible to achieve active development of the space services market. As part of this work on creating rocket technology, Putin proposed establishing a conveyor assembly of spacecraft and maximally accelerating the development of production capabilities.
He also expressed surprise at the level of salaries in the space industry, noting that they were below average salaries in the regions, and employees do not have access to preferential mortgages. To train future specialists and stimulate innovation in the space sector, Putin ordered an increase in educational activities, an expansion of the school satellite program and competitions in the field of space innovation.
