In response to this, Rakhmanov said that this is due to the desire to be customer-oriented and the lack of a complete specification and understanding of what the vessel will consist of. “We are at the stage of forming the construction of this order, without having a project, we cannot motivately state what the price will be, and since we are trying to be customer-oriented, in this sense we went too much towards customers in order to build, hand over ships, and after deal with money,” said the head of the corporation.
Manturov instructed USC not to enter into shipbuilding contracts if the expertise has not yet provided an independent feasibility study. He also notified about the financial audit in the civil shipbuilding segment before the end of autumn.
