Putin created a government council to meet the needs of the special operation

Russian President Vladimir Putin signed a decree on the creation of a coordinating council under the government to meet the needs of a special operation in Ukraine. It will be headed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin.
According to text document, the coordinating council was created to organize interaction between the federal executive authorities and the executive authorities of the constituent entities of the Russian Federation in resolving issues related to support during a military operation. Among other things, the council will promote the construction of barracks and training grounds.
The council included heads of law enforcement agencies, ministers and deputy prime ministers.
Among them:
- Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin (Chairman of the Coordinating Council);
- FSB director Alexander Bortnikov;
- Deputy Prime Minister Tatyana Golikova;
- Director of the National Guard Viktor Zolotov;
- Interior Minister Vladimir Kolokoltsev;
- Director of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergey Naryshkin;
- Deputy Prime Minister Alexander Novak;
- Finance Minister Anton Siluanov;
- Mayor of Moscow Sergey Sobyanin (as agreed);
- Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
19 October Vladimir Putin instructed create a special coordinating council at a meeting of the Security Council. On this day the President introduced martial law in the Donetsk and Lugansk People’s Republics, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, as well as the average level of response in the regions bordering Ukraine.
