Press Secretary of the President of Russia Dmitry Peskov said that Vladimir Putin receives information about the course of hostilities in the zone of military operations in Ukraine not only from official reports and messages, but also “from the ground.” To do this, according to a Kremlin spokesman, the head of state regularly calls “with responsible persons” by phone.
“The President traditionally prefers to have a variety of sources of information, especially when it comes to a special military operation. And, along with official reports, he, of course, regularly makes such calls and receives information directly from the ground, as they say,” said Mr. Peskov during the conference call.
As the Kremlin spokesman noted, communication between Vladimir Putin and “responsible persons” in the zone of the military operation “has been established.” The calls are being made “quite promptly” at the command of the president, he added. At the same time, it is not planned to publish transcripts of such conversations, Dmitry Peskov stressed.
Last week, telephone conversations with Vladimir Putin about the course of the special operation were, in particular, publicly reported by the commander of the Akhmat special unit, assistant to the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov, Apti Alaudinov, and the head of the Shebekinsky urban district of the Belgorod region, which is subjected to regular shelling, Vladimir Zhdanov.
