Putin congratulated the President of Kazakhstan on his 70th birthday

During a telephone conversation, Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated his Kazakh counterpart Kassym-Jomart Tokayev on his 70th birthday, reported Kremlin press office. During the conversation, the leaders also confirmed their intention to further strengthen relations between the two countries.
“The mutual intention to further strengthen Russian-Kazakh allied relations, expand mutually beneficial cooperation in all areas has been confirmed,” the Kremlin said in a statement.
The press service clarified that earlier the head of state sent a congratulatory telegram to Tokayev.
Earlier, the conversation between Putin and Tokayev took place on May 9, when the leaders noted the need to continue developing the partnership between the two countries. The President of Kazakhstan was on a working visit to Russia from 8 to 9 May. He also attended the Victory Parade, which took place on Red Square in Moscow.
The Victory Day celebration was also attended by the Presidents of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov, Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon, Uzbekistan Shavkat Mirziyoyev, Belarus Alexander Lukashenko and Turkmenistan Serdar Berdimuhamedov, as well as Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan.
