Putin congratulated the leaders of the CIS countries on the anniversary of the Victory

Russian President Vladimir Putin sent congratulatory messages to the leaders of Azerbaijan, Armenia, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Abkhazia, South Ossetia and the peoples of Georgia and Moldova on the occasion of the 78th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War, informs Kremlin press office.
“Today, it is our moral duty to sacredly preserve the traditions of friendship and mutual assistance bequeathed by our fathers and grandfathers, not to allow the historical truth about the Great Patriotic War to be distorted, as well as the justifications of the Nazis, their accomplices and current ideological heirs,” the president’s congratulatory messages read.
Tomorrow, May 9, the Victory Parade will take place on Red Square in Moscow. Putin will take part in it and make a speech.
