Russian President Vladimir Putin, at a meeting with Communist Party leader Gennady Zyuganov, congratulated all communists on the 30th anniversary of the party’s re-establishment. About it reported in the press service of the Kremlin.
“Gennady Andreevich, I congratulate you, all members of the party on your anniversary, and you on your election tomorrow. I hope that, as a significant part of the patriotic movement in the country, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation will continue to fulfill this role. It makes a significant contribution to the political discussion, to the search for the most acceptable and rational solutions for the development of the country in the social sphere, in the economy, in the field of defense and security,” the president said.
Putin also stressed that the Communist Party of the Russian Federation was often the first party to raise issues related to ensuring Russia’s security. “There has never been any controversy here. On the contrary, the Communist Party of the Russian Federation very often went ahead and put questions to the authorities at all levels concerning the security of our country. And now, of course, our dialogue is in double or triple demand,” Putin stressed.
Tomorrow, February 14, the Communist Party will celebrate the 30th anniversary of the re-establishment of the Communist Party. Zyuganov was elected its chairman on February 14, 1993.
Earlier, Vedomosti reported that Putin would hold a series of meetings with the leaders of parliamentary factions from February 13 to 16. According to an interlocutor close to Staraya Square, this time the meetings will not be “collective” – Putin will talk to each of the party leaders individually.
