Putin congratulated the Army servicemen on their professional holiday

Russian President Vladimir Vladimir Putin congratulated the personnel and veterans of the Russian Ground Forces on their professional holiday – Ground Forces Day, which is celebrated in the country annually on October 1. Telegram published on the Kremlin website.

“You are rightfully proud of the names and exploits of outstanding military leaders and commanders, soldiers and officers. Those who have served the Motherland faithfully and truly for centuries and have gained immortal glory on the fields of large-scale battles for its freedom and independence,” Putin’s congratulations say.

Now these traditions, as the president noted, are being honorably continued by the current generation of ground forces, and the valor and courage of the soldiers and commanders “vividly manifested themselves” during the military special operation in Ukraine. The head of state expressed confidence that they will continue to show a high level of training and reliably ensure the sovereignty and national interests of Russia.

Russian Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu also congratulated Happy Ground Forces Day for military personnel, veterans and defense industry employees, reports the press service of the Russian Ministry of Defense. Shoigu noted that during the special operation, the troops effectively carry out their assigned tasks, and also “act skillfully and decisively in the most difficult situation.”

Ground Forces Day has been celebrated in Russia every year since 2006.
