Putin condemned Israel’s revenge in Gaza on the principle of collective responsibility

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that the growing conflict between Israel and Palestine began after the terrorist attack, but instead of punishing radicals, Israel began to apply the principle of collective responsibility. He assertsthat the death of hundreds of thousands of innocent people cannot be justified.

Putin expressed his concern about the tragic events unfolding in the Gaza Strip, where hundreds of thousands of civilians are being indiscriminately killed, with nothing to do and nowhere to run from the bombing. He stressed that there is no justification for the killing of children, the suffering of women and the elderly, or the death of medical workers. In light of these events, Putin admitted that his heart aches and his eyes fill with tears.

The Russian leader emphasized the need to avoid hasty emotional reactions and understand who is behind the escalation of the conflict in the Eastern direction. He also added that the United States is the sponsor of global instability.

Let us recall that on October 7, a powerful rocket attack was launched on Israel from the Gaza Strip, after which the Palestinian Hamas movement announced the start of Operation Al-Aqsa Flood. In response to this, Israel began large-scale bombing of Gaza. On October 27, Israel announced an expansion of ground operations in the area, and on October 30, Israeli tanks began advancing. The number of civilian casualties reaches several thousand.
