Putin: Russia is not going to isolate itself from other countries
The Russian Federation does not intend to completely isolate itself from other countries; on the contrary, it will expand relations with friendly countries. This statement was made by President Vladimir Putin during a speech at the Council of Legislators in St. Petersburg.
“We are not going to leave Russia for self-isolation, on the contrary, we will expand pragmatic, equal, mutually beneficial, exclusively partnership relations with friendly countries,” the head of state said.
He stressed that there are countries friendly to Russia in Eurasia, Africa and Latin America.
According to him, even in the United States there are people who “think the same way with us,” and in European countries. Putin also touched on the elites, who, he said, do not always pursue policies aimed at the interests of their own citizens.
The President of the Russian Federation noted that Moscow will cooperate with those states that “value their reputation” and also express a desire to cooperate.
