Russian President Vladimir Putin commented on Denmark’s refusal to investigate the Nord Stream explosion jointly with Russia. According to him, Denmark responded to the proposals of the Russian side in a streamlined manner.
Putin noted that Denmark was immediately invited to inspect the section of the pipeline with the involvement of international experts, since another explosive device could be planted there.
“But we received such a streamlined answer that our services are not particularly needed, and if necessary, we will be informed about this someday,” Putin said in an interview with Pavel Zarubin on Rossiya 24.
He also said that Russian explosives experts studied photographs from the site. They concluded that the object found at the junction of two pipes could be an antenna for receiving a signal from the air or from space to initiate an explosive device. Denmark has been informed about this.
