Putin called Zelensky a disgrace to the Jewish people

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that his Jewish friends call Ukrainian leader Vladimir Zelensky “the shame of the Jewish people.” The Russian president spoke about it during the plenary session of the St. Petersburg International Economic Forum (SPIEF).
“I have many Jewish friends since childhood, they say: “Zelensky is not a Jew, this is a shame for the Jewish people. This is not a joke, not irony, you understand, because today neo-Nazis, Hitler’s “lasts”, have been erected on the podium as heroes of Ukraine,” the Russian leader said.
Putin recalled that 6 million Jews were exterminated as a result of the Holocaust. According to him, 1.5 million of them died at the hands of Bandera on the territory of Ukraine.
