Putin called the situation with the export of grain from Ukraine a “brazen deception”

Russian President Vladimir Putin, speaking at a plenary session at the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF). called “another impudent deceit” and “boorish swindle” the situation with the export of grain from Ukraine to countries that are not in need.
“What we see is another blatant deception. And it’s not about us. This is a deception of the international community, a deception of partners in Africa, other countries that are in dire need of food. This is just a swindle. A boorish and arrogant attitude towards those partners for the sake of whom this was allegedly done.”
Earlier in the meeting, Ways said that of the 87 ships that were taken out of Ukrainian ports, only 2 were sent to the poorest countries – they delivered only 60,000 of the 2 million tons of food. Despite this, work on the “product deal” will continue. Putin expressed the hope that “the goals for which the whole event was organized will be achieved.”
The head of state also stressed that the “product deal” was concluded, first of all, in order to help the poorest countries. He accused the countries of the West of colonial behavior and of defrauding the poorest countries.
On July 22, representatives of Turkey and the UN signed separate agreements with representatives of Russia and Ukraine on the export of Ukrainian grain from the ports of Odessa, Chornomorsk and Yuzhny, as well as on assistance in the export of Russian grain and fertilizers. July 27 in Istanbul, the SKC began work on the export of grain. Within the framework of the agreement on grain, it is also expected to remove restrictions on the export of Russian food and fertilizers.
The ports of Ukraine have been blocked since the beginning of the special operation. Russian ships could not go to sea due to the large number of mines, and European countries and the UN blamed Russia for the impending food crisis. Moscow denied the accusation.
