Russian President Vladimir Putin held the first meeting of the coordinating council for the supply of troops. At it, he said that it was necessary to resolve issues related to the provision of the special operation “at a faster pace”.
“We need a higher pace of work in all areas and an extremely realistic assessment of the situation, the state of affairs as a whole. This applies not only directly to the special military operation, this applies to all of our work in almost all areas,” the president said.
The President called for all “administrative procedures” to be updated. To do this, he considers it necessary to coordinate the work between all structures. “Moreover, with a very different focus – both the power bloc, and the economic bloc, and the regions of the Russian Federation. It is for this, in fact, that the coordinating council was created, ”he said. The President also instructed the Ministry of Finance to develop measures to support the regions.
Vladimir Putin announced the need to have a “clear plan” to ensure the forces involved in the hostilities. To do this, according to the president, it is necessary to focus on the real situation, and not on previously established standards. “They were created in who knows what times and in completely different conditions,” the president believes. He stressed that these standards need to be changed or adapted “without any violation of the law.”
According to the president, new manufacturers should appear in Russia to meet the needs of the military. At the same council, Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin proposed to involve all light industry in the production of military equipment.
The decree on the creation of the coordinating council was signed by the president on October 21. It was headed by Prime Minister Mikhail Mishustin. The council included several permanent members of the Security Council: FSB director Alexander Bortnikov, head of the Foreign Intelligence Service Sergei Naryshkin, Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu.
