The strikes of Ukrainian troops on residential areas and humanitarian facilities have no military meaning, Russian President Vladimir Putin said during a conversation with state award winners in the Kremlin.
“Now I will not talk about the reasons, about this, about this, to go into political jungle. But why, frankly, is the enemy hitting residential areas? For what? For what? What’s the point? For humanitarian projects. Surprisingly simple. There is no military sense, ”he said (quote according to RIA Novosti).
In a number of Russian regions, including Belgorod, Kursk, Voronezh, Bryansk and Rostov regions, Crimea, Sevastopol and the Krasnodar Territory, a “medium response level” has been operating since last autumn. The territories of some of them are being shelled by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. So, earlier today, the governor of the Belgorod region, Vyacheslav Gladkov, reported on the shelling of the border villages of Dronovka and Vyazovoe. On June 11, according to him, in the Belgorod region, 11 artillery shells were fired at the village of Zhuravlevka, and 3 at the village of Ustinka. There were no casualties or damage.
On June 9, Putin announced that the Armed Forces of Ukraine started counteroffensive, but they could not achieve their goals in any area. According to the head of state, the offensive of the Armed Forces of Ukraine is failing due to the courage of Russian soldiers, the correct organization of troops and the high efficiency of Russian weapons. Putin noted that the Russian Armed Forces realistically assess the situation and will proceed from this when planning further actions. Losses of Ukrainian troops, according to him, exceed the “classic figure”.
