Residents of the Gaza Strip, who are now suffering from the fighting, need help, especially the Russians. This statement was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin during a meeting with the government.
According to him, providing assistance to the residents of the Palestinian enclave is a “sacred duty” for Russia.
“This is a very important, humanitarian, noble mission. We need to help people who are suffering from the events taking place. We see what is happening there. Therefore, it is our sacred duty to help, especially our citizens,” said the head of state.
He emphasized that at the moment the situation in the region has gone beyond critical. Putin also added that 900 people have already turned to Russia for help to be taken out of Gaza, of which 639 are Russians, another 271 people are their relatives.
