Russian leader Vladimir Putin, speaking at the plenary session of the Eurasian Economic Forum, expressed confidence in Russia’s ability to become one of the leaders in the international financial sector.
The head of state noted that the countries of the collective West expected that the Russian Federation would face a collapse of the economy as a result of the introduction of harsh economic sanctions against Moscow, but this did not happen.
“Russia manages not only to adapt, but also to become one of the leaders of these processes,” Putin said, commenting on the changes taking place in the world economy.
