Putin called on Central Asian countries to join Russian import substitution

Russian President Vladimir Putin called on the countries of Central Asia to join Russia’s import substitution projects.
At the Russia-Central Asia summit, he expressed interest in countries joining large-scale Russian import substitution initiatives, as well as other programs and projects. The Russian leader is confident that this will benefit the development of the economies of countries and the acquisition of new competencies.
The summit in the capital of Kazakhstan was initiated by Moscow in the jubilee year of the 30th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations between the Russian Federation and all five states of Central Asia: Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan, Tajikistan, Turkmenistan and Uzbekistan.
