The EU’s policy on Russian gas prices is insane. This statement was made by Russian President Vladimir Putin at a meeting of the Council for Strategic Development and National Projects.

According to him, Russia will look for new partners for the supply of energy resources. In particular, they can be reoriented to the East. The head of state specified that gas supplies to this region by 2030 will increase to 88 billion cubic meters. m, which is over 60% of supplies to Europe.

In October, Putin spoke with the idea of ​​creating a new hub for Russian gas supplies. Dropped volumes of gas transportation to the EU (due to damage to the Nord Stream and Nord Stream 2 gas pipelines and sanctions against the latter) can be transferred from the Baltic Sea to the Black Sea. Europe has accelerated the process of diversifying gas suppliers after the start of Russia’s special military operation in Ukraine, which began on February 24. The European Commission (EC) has developed a plan that provides for a complete renunciation of the consumption of Russian fuel until 2030, called REPowerEU.
