President Vladimir Putin awarded State Duma Chairman Vyacheslav Volodin the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, 1st degree. Corresponding decree published on the portal of legal acts.
The decree states that Vyacheslav Volodin is awarded the order for “his great contribution to the strengthening of Russian statehood,” “the development of parliamentarism,” and “many years of conscientious work.” RIA Novosti notes that today, February 4, Mr. Volodin celebrates his 60th birthday.
On April 14, 2003, Vyacheslav Volodin was awarded the Order of Honor “for active legislative activity and many years of conscientious work.” In April 2006, Vladimir Putin awarded him the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, IV degree, and in 2012, III degree. In 2009, Mr. Volodin was awarded the title “Honored Lawyer of the Russian Federation” for “merits in strengthening the rule of law and active legislative activity.”
