Putin awarded two deputies from Chechnya with the orders of Courage and Alexander Nevsky

President Vladimir Putin awarded State Duma deputy from Chechnya Shamsail Saraliev with the Order of Alexander Nevsky, and deputy Akhmed Dogoev with the Order of Courage. This was announced by the head of Chechnya Ramzan Kadyrov in Telegram.
As Ramzan Kadyrov said, Shamsail Saraliyev was awarded for “a great contribution to the development of parliamentarism, active legislative activity and many years of conscientious work.” Shamsail Saraliyev was elected to the State Duma of the sixth, seventh and eighth convocations.
Throughout his tenure as an MP, he introduced 44 bills. Among them are a bill toughening administrative responsibility for promoting non-traditional sexual relations, a bill on a special procedure for registering nomads, and two bills on indigenous peoples. Until 2011, Mr. Saraliyev served as the Chechen Minister for Foreign Relations, National Policy, Press and Information.
Akhmed Dogaev was elected to the State Duma of the seventh and eighth convocations. During this time he introduced 25 bills. Among them there are several in collaboration with Mr. Saraliev. Ramzan Kadyrov did not specify the merits for which the deputy was awarded the Order of Courage. As the head of Chechnya said, Akhmed Dogaev’s nephew died in the combat zone in Ukraine.
