Putin awarded Tsiskaridze the Order of Merit for the Fatherland

A decree of Russian President Vladimir Putin appeared on the official portal of legal information by which he awarded the Russian ballet dancer and teacher, People’s Artist of the Russian Federation Nikolai Tsiskaridze, who recently celebrated his 50th birthday, with the Order of Merit for the Fatherland, IV degree.
The text of the decree states that Tsiskaridze is being awarded for “great services in the development of national culture and art.” The head of state also noted Tsiskaridze’s many years of fruitful creative activity.
Currently, the artist serves as the rector of the Academy of Russian Ballet named after A.Ya. Vaganova.
