Putin awarded the Order of Courage to MP Pirogova, who died in the DPR

Russian President Vladimir Putin posthumously awarded the Order of Courage to the deputy of the parliament of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR) Maria Pirogova, who died the day before, on December 6, during the shelling of Donetsk. Decree text published on the official Internet portal of legal information.
“For selflessness and courage shown in the line of duty, to award Maria Vladimirovna Pirogova with the Order of Courage,” the document says.
The death of a member of parliament became known the day before, on December 6. About it informed Mayor of Donetsk Aleksey Kulemzin. However, he toldthat at least 6 civilians were killed as a result of shelling by the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU). According to him, the shelling of the city was conducted from the very morning. He clarified that at least 5 rockets from the Grad MLRS were fired at the city.
Later, Acting Governor of the DPR Denis Pushilin informed about 4 dead and 19 injured as a result of the shelling of the city by the Armed Forces of Ukraine. According to him, about 130 ammunition of various calibers were fired in total.
