Russian President Vladimir Putin took part in the ceremony of awarding the winners of the Service Prize, which is awarded to representatives of local government. The ceremony takes place within the framework of the forum “Small Motherland – the Strength of Russia”, reported press service Kremlin.
The Service Award is awarded in ten categories to representatives of the municipal community who have contributed to the resolution of issues of local importance and the development of local self-government. The prize was established on behalf of Vladimir Putin. The first awards ceremony will take place in 2024.
According to the press service, the head of state presented the prize to the winner in the nomination “The Fate of Man is the Pride of the Fatherland” to the head of the administration of the rural settlement of Meshchegarovsky village council of the Salavat district of Bashkiria, Ilnara Safina.
Earlier today, January 16, Vladimir Putin signed decree establishing the honorary title “Honored Worker of Local Government”. To obtain the title, you must have at least 20 years of work experience in the relevant field and industry awards.
The Service Award was announced on November 13, 2023 by the First Deputy Head of the Presidential Administration, Sergei Kiriyenko. In his opinion, municipalities operating in new or “old” territories that are under fire should be among the first to be nominated and awarded the prize. A Kommersant source close to the AP previously toldthat attention to this category of employees is increasing, including on the eve of the presidential campaign. The organizer of the award is the All-Russian Association for the Development of Local Self-Government.
The forum “Small Motherland – the Strength of Russia” takes place on January 15–16 at VDNKh. More than 7 thousand heads of municipalities gathered there. The main panel discussion of the forum was devoted to the philosophy of effective personnel training “on the ground”. Sergei Kiriyenko, Assistant to the Head of State Igor Levitin, Minister of Labor and Social Protection Anton Kotyakov and Rector of RANEPA Alexey Komissarov spoke to the mayors.
