Russian President Vladimir Putin arrived in Ulan-Ude, transmits Telegram-channel “Pool N3”.
Working trip of the President to Buryatia in the Kremlin announced the day before, 13 March. The head of state plans to visit the Ulan-Ude Aviation Plant, hold a meeting via videoconference on the implementation of the program for the development of the Far Eastern cities, and also meet with the head of Buryatia, Alexei Tsydenov.
The Kremlin specified that Yury Trutnev and Tsydenov, Deputy Chairman of the Government, Plenipotentiary Representative of the President in the Far Eastern Federal District, would attend the meeting in person. Government ministers, governors of the Trans-Baikal Territory, Sakhalin and Amur regions, as well as heads of Russian companies will join the event via videoconference
Last time Putin attended Buryatia in August 2017 – before the first election of Tsydenov, when he was still in the status of acting head of the republic. Then the president visited the Baikal State Natural Biosphere Reserve, held a meeting on the conservation of the lake and the Baikal natural territory and a meeting on the elimination of natural fires. Already at the end of the trip, Putin met with Tsydenov.
