The President of the Russian Federation arrived in Kyrgyzstan, writes TASS. This is the first foreign visit of a Russian leader in 2023.
He will stay in Kyrgyzstan until October 13. On October 12, Putin will hold bilateral negotiations with the President of Kyrgyzstan Sadyr Japarov in Bishkek. The leaders plan to discuss issues of further development of Russian-Kyrgyz relations and alliances in various fields, the Kremlin reported. They added that a number of intergovernmental and interdepartmental documents will also be signed.
On this day, Putin and Zhaparov will take part in an event dedicated to the 20th anniversary of the Russian military air base in Kant. On Thursday, the Russian president is also scheduled to hold talks with Azerbaijani leader Ilham Aliyev.
On October 13, Putin will take part in a meeting of the Council of Heads of State of the CIS, which will be held in a limited and expanded format. The leaders of the CIS countries will sum up the results of their work in 2023, identify new directions and discuss international and regional topics, the Kremlin specified. Following the meeting, a package of documents will be signed.
On the same day, Putin will meet with the President of Tajikistan Emomali Rahmon. At the same time, Putin is not planning a bilateral meeting with President of Belarus Alexander Lukashenko in Bishkek, as the head of the republic spoke about a few weeks ago, presidential aide Yuri Ushakov clarified the day before.
