Putin announced the exit of the Russian economy on a growth trajectory

The dynamics of key economic indicators indicate that the Russian economy is gradually stabilizing and entering a growth trajectory, President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting on economic issues.

“The monthly dynamics of key indicators also indicates that the economy is gradually stabilizing, leveling off, and entering the growth trajectory. Businesses are returning to a normal rhythm of work.” quotes President’s press service of the Kremlin.

The head of state noted that in August lending to the economy, the real sector and the population from banks revived. “I consider the overall stable situation in the labor market to be a very important, significant achievement of the government. Even more than stable: the unemployment rate is at historical lows – in May-July it was only 3.9%,” Putin added.

September 7 during the plenary session at the Eastern Economic Forum (WEF) Putin said that the peak of the most difficult situation in the Russian economy has passed. According to him, budget expenditures by the end of 2022 will be 20% higher than in 2021, and the decline “if there is, then insignificant” – 2% of GDP. “Our state finances have stabilized, I want to note that this year’s budget will be drawn up with a surplus of almost half a trillion rubles, somewhere under 485 billion, despite all the gloomy forecasts,” the head of state concluded.

The next day, Deputy Minister of Economic Development Polina Kryuchkova announced that the decline in the Russian economy by the end of the current year would be less than 3%.
