During the Great Patriotic War, collaborators killed 1.5 million Jews living in Ukraine, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting of the Russian organizing committee Pobeda.
“This is 1.5 million people. Women, the elderly, children, 1.5 million people. If only 6 million were destroyed by the Nazis during the Holocaust, then this is a quarter, 25% of the victims <...> These were not just Nazis, these were the same collaborators <...> just Bandera and others like them,” Putin said.
