President Vladimir Putin had a telephone conversation with Armenian Prime Minister Nikol Pashinyan. The topic of conversation was the situation around Nagorno-Karabakh. The conversation took place on the initiative of the Armenian side. This is reported press office Kremlin.

The report notes that Vladimir Putin confirmed his readiness to “provide practical assistance in the development of an Armenian-Azerbaijani peace treaty.” During the telephone conversation, it was also emphasized that the implementation of the 2020-2022 trilateral agreements is of “fundamental importance.”
The day before, the press service of the Armenian Parliament reported that the Chairman of the National Assembly of Armenia Alen Simonyan paid a visit to Poland. During the visit, Mr. Simonyan recalled that Armenia planned to enlist technical assistance from the European Union to increase its defense capability due to the situation in Nagorno-Karabakh. Armenia was refused by Brussels.
Earlier, on June 28, the Russian Ministry of Defense reported about five violations of the ceasefire regime in the Mardakert and Martuni regions of Nagorno-Karabakh. Violations were revealed by Russian peacekeepers. According to the ministry, there are wounded and dead from both Armenia and Azerbaijan. On June 19, Armenia and Azerbaijan last accused each other of shelling on the border. The parties continue to negotiate on the issue of the territorial dispute over Nagorno-Karabakh.
