“On the Russian side, attention has been drawn to regular Ukrainian attacks on ZNPP facilities, including a radioactive waste storage facility, which is fraught with catastrophic consequences,” the report says.

The President of Russia informed his French counterpart about the measures taken by Russian specialists to ensure the physical protection of the station and stressed the need to influence the Kyiv authorities so that the shelling of the station would be immediately stopped. The leaders of the countries expressed mutual readiness for non-politicized interaction on the situation around the ZNPP with the participation of the IAEA.

Vladimir Putin pointed out that the Ukrainian security forces, using weapons supplied by Western countries, continue targeted massive shelling of the civilian infrastructure of the cities of Donbass, as a result of which civilians suffer.

When discussing the problems of global food security, the presidents reaffirmed the position that the grain exported from the Black Sea ports should be directed primarily to the needs of developing countries.
