Presidents of Russia and Belarus Vladimir Putin and Alexander Lukashenko next week will discuss Minsk’s proposal to declare a truce in Ukraine. This was announced by the press secretary of the President Dmitry Peskov.
“Of course, we heard the statement of Alexander Grigorievich. Of course, the two presidents – Putin and Lukashenko – will continue next week. There will be a videoconferencing (video conferencing) meeting of the Supreme State Council of the union state. This will give the Presidents an opportunity to talk in detail with each other once again. Probably, they will discuss this topic,” he said.
At the same time, Peskov stressed that in the context of Ukraine, “nothing changes”, and the special operation will continue, since it “is today the only means to achieve the goals set by our country.”
