Russian President Vladimir Putin made his first regional trip since the elections. Today he arrived in Torzhok in the Tver region. Journalist Pavel Zarubin published footage of how the head of state stopped in the central square and got out of the car to the people.

Earlier, presidential press secretary Dmitry Peskov reported that the trip was connected with the Day of Cultural Workers celebrated the day before. Putin visited the Museum Rows exhibition complex of the All-Russian Historical and Ethnographic Museum in Torzhok, where he spoke with museum staff.

Putin, opening this meeting, said that after the terrorist attack at Crocus City Hall, he had to adjust the schedule and reschedule his trip to Torzhok.
