Putin after talks with Erdogan in Sochi met with Kadyrov

Russian President Vladimir Putin held a meeting with the head of Chechnya, Ramzan Kadyrov. The meeting discussed the socio-economic development of the republic. The President received the head of the region after holding talks in Sochi with Turkish President Recep Tayyip Erdogan.
“The night before, after the Russian-Turkish talks, Putin held a working meeting with the head of the Chechen Republic, Ramzan Kadrov,” said Russian presidential spokesman Dmitry Peskov (quoted by RIA Novosti).
On the night of August 6th Telegram channel Ramzan Kadyrov posted a post saying that the head of Chechnya was in Sochi during the negotiations between Russia and Turkey. Ramzan Kadyrov reported that during the meeting of the presidents, he spoke with the head of the Turkish Foreign Ministry, Mevlut Cavusoglu, and the head of the national intelligence organization, Hakan Fidan. As a result of the talks, as Mr. Kadyrov said, they decided to establish “close cooperation” between Turkey and Chechnya.
Following a comment by Dmitry Peskov, Ramzan Kadyrov in Telegram channel said that in a conversation with Vladimir Putin, he also discussed the Chechen fighters participating in the military operation in Ukraine. According to the head of Chechnya, the president “highly appreciated their military merits.”
After the start of the military operation in Ukraine, Ramzan Kadyrov regularly reports on the actions of the Chechen military during the hostilities. On March 16, Vladimir Putin asked Mr. Kadyrov to say hello to the Chechen fighters taking part in the special operation. On March 17, the president and the head of Chechnya had a telephone conversation. According to Ramzan Kadyrov, during the conversation, the President noted the courage of the Chechen military.
Last press office Kremlin reported on the meeting between Mr. Putin and Mr. Kadyrov on 2 February. The meeting took place against the background of the situation with the family of ex-judge Saydi Yangulbaev: a criminal case was initiated against his son Ibragim under the article on incitement to terrorist activities.
