Putin advised Russian political emigrants to continue drinking beer in Prague

Russian President Vladimir Putin said that participants in foreign political events dedicated to Russia are not able to impose their position on the audience. The head of state reacted to the report of the vice-speaker of the Federation Council Konstantin Kosachev, who mentioned the Forum of Free Peoples of Russia (the activity of the organization is recognized as undesirable in Russia), which was held in Prague last summer.
“Where did you say these well-wishers gathered for the last time, in Prague? Prague is a good city. There’s beer, bacon. To them (participants.—“b”) they pay enough money so that they can indulge in beer and bacon. And keep on drinking beer. Experts say there is a large set of female sex hormones. Let the men who gather there abuse this light alcoholic drink. It suits us just fine.” said Russian President at a meeting of the Council for Interethnic Relations.
The head of state recalled that one of the oldest universities in Europe, Charles University, is located in Prague. But such institutions, according to Mr. Putin, are not interesting for the participants of the mentioned forums. “These are people who do not want to learn anything, because they want and consider it possible to teach others. But so far they are not very good at it,” Mr. Putin summed up.
