Putin admitted that the appearance of the results of the SVO will be a long process

The emergence of the results of a special military operation in Ukraine can be a long process, Russian President Vladimir Putin said at a meeting with members of the Council for the Development of Civil Society and Human Rights.
“As for the long process of the results of the SVO, then, of course, this can be a long process. <...> New territories have appeared. Well, this is such a significant result for Russia,” Putin said. The head of the Russian state added that one of the results of the special operation was that the Sea of Azov became the inland sea of Russia.
Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24. Russian President Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, the LPR, DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions became part of Russia.
On September 30, Putin and the heads of the DPR, LPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions signed agreements on the annexation of the regions to Russia. Putin stressed that the inhabitants of the annexed territories “become citizens of the Russian Federation forever.” On October 19, the Russian president decided to introduce martial law in the DPR, LPR, as well as in the Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Putin noted that the heads of these territories will be given additional powers to ensure security. He clarified that their actions should be appropriate to the situation.
