Putin also expressed gratitude to voters for their trust and support, emphasizing that for him this is more important than winning the elections. He promised to use all the constructive proposals of the candidates and do everything possible to justify the trust of citizens.

In elections held from March 15 to 17, Putin was in the lead, receiving 87.28 percent of the vote. The turnout in the elections was 77.44 percent, which became a record in recent history. The total number of voters was 87,113,127 people.

According to the Central Election Commission, Nikolai Kharitonov (KPRF) was in second place, Vladislav Davankov (New People) was in third, and Leonid Slutsky (LDPR) was in fourth place. The vote count showed no change from the preliminary results after all ballots had been counted.
