The authorities must allocate additional resources to provide the participants of the special operation with modern means of rehabilitation. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin.
“We need to provide these means of rehabilitation in a special way. But not only. It is also necessary that people be taught how to use it, so that they can live with it. So that maintenance of modern equipment is organized,” Putin said during a visit to the “Return” support center for participants of the special operation and their families in Veliky Novgorod.
According to him, such rehabilitation is “a little more expensive,” but it is necessary for the state to allocate appropriate additional resources. The head of state agreed that this is a very important issue.
In 2023, a special fund “Defenders of the Fatherland” was created in Russia, which helps veterans and participants in special operations. It is financed by the government allocated RUB 1.314 billion
During the meeting on September 21, the president said that he was initially against the fund managing the funds. “You understand, as soon as the money flows, problems immediately begin,” he explained.
Putin noted in February that the work of the fund should take place “without officialdom and bureaucracy,” and each veteran should be assigned a personal social worker-coordinator who will work with him in real time.
