Putin accuses Western countries of fomenting conflict in Ukraine

Western countries, by providing military support to Kyiv, are helping to fuel the conflict in Ukraine. This was stated by Russian President Vladimir Putin in his address to the participants of the XI Moscow Conference on International Security.

The head of state noted that NATO member countries continue to build up their offensive capabilities and are trying to transfer military confrontation to outer space and information space. At the same time, the United States wants to “reformat” the system of interstate interaction for itself. Putin noted that in the regions of the world “smoldering hotbeds of tension”, which have their own characteristics, but they are all generated by the actions of the West.

“What this policy of adding fuel to the fire leads to is clearly seen in the example of Ukraine. By pumping billions of dollars into the neo-Nazi regime, supplying it with equipment, weapons, ammunition, sending their military advisers and mercenaries, everything is being done to further ignite the conflict, draw other states into it, ”the president emphasized, his address published on the Kremlin website.

According to Putin, honest and unbiased discussions on the issues of the global and regional agenda, which are held within the framework of the conference, are necessary, as a multipolar world is being formed, and most countries are defending their sovereignty.
