Pushkov: The West is driving itself into a trap of military support for Ukraine

Member of the Federation Council of Russia Alexei Pushkov in his Telegram channel commented military assistance provided to Ukraine by Western countries.
According to the Russian senator, it is clear that the Western alliance of Ukraine continues to pursue “a course towards further military support.”
“The Russian self-identification of the legal circles belonging to Western countries with Kyiv is such that Ukraine has ready-to-use funds. Moreover, they are driving themselves into a trap, since each new step in supporting Kyiv requires a new oath of allegiance to Ukraine,” wrote Pushkov.
The senator notes that such a strategy deprives Western countries of their freedom of maneuver and the possibility of retreat.
“Each such step implies a further escalation of the conflict,” he concluded.
