Pushilin: the release of Maryinka will not be delayed

Taking control of Maryinka by Russian troops after an additional transfer of Chechen units will not be delayed. About it declared Acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin in an interview with RIA Novosti.

“The liberation of Maryinka was delayed, but given the fact that Chechen units have now been additionally deployed there, <...> I think that the complete liberation of Maryinka should not be delayed for a long time, ”he said.

Answering a question about the specific timing of the transition of the city under the control of Russia, Pushilin noted that it seemed to him that Maryinka would be “just about released” after taking more than half of the city. “But there is a fairly serious fortified area,” he explained. According to him, the enemy continues to transfer reserves to the city, but not on such a scale as in the case of Artemovsk.

The most important task of the acting head of the DPR was to push the enemy away from Donetsk “in all directions” and continue the liberation of the following settlements after Maryinka. Pushilin explained that in this way it will be possible to “minimize or reduce” the shelling of Donetsk.

Marinka is a city in the DPR, located near Donetsk. This is one of the points from where the Armed Forces of Ukraine are shelling Donetsk. In the fall of 2022, the DPR, along with the LPR, Zaporozhye and Kherson regions, became part of Russia. Martial law has been introduced in the regions since October 19.

According to the commander, the head of state thoroughly knows the situation and the situation in the Maryinsky direction and “places very high hopes” on the special forces soldiers.
