Pushilin reported heavy fighting in Paraskovievka and Vugledar

The Russian military is fighting fiercely in the Paraskovievka area near Artemovsk, and heavy fighting is also taking place in the southeast of Vugledar. This was announced by the acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin on the air of Channel One.

He noted that the liberation of Krasnaya Gora allows “to deal with Paraskovievka more purposefully.” Pushilin explained that the capture of Paraskoviyivka would block the road to Chasov Yar, the last supply route for Ukrainian troops in Artemivsk. He added that the Russian side does not expect the Armed Forces of Ukraine to “give up positions without a fight.”

“Ugledar direction: here we see that hostilities have unfolded in the southeastern part of Vugledar. It’s very hard here, very fierce fighting, but nevertheless we see some success, ”said the head of the DPR (quote according to TASS).

On the eve, February 13, the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation reported about taking control of the village of Krasnaya Gora in the DPR. February 7 Defense Minister Sergei Shoigu listed recently liberated settlements in the DPR, among them are Soledar, Kleshcheevka, Nikolaevka, and others. According to the Minister of Defense, hostilities in the areas of Ugledar and Artemovsk are developing successfully.

Russia’s special operation in Ukraine began on February 24, 2022. President of the Russian Federation Vladimir Putin called the protection of the inhabitants of Donbass, as well as the demilitarization and denazification of Ukraine, its goals. During the special operation, Russian troops took full control of the LPR, as well as most of the DPR, Kherson and Zaporozhye regions. Subsequently, these territories became part of Russia, and on October 19 martial law was introduced in the regions.
