Pushilin assured of full control of Russian forces over the situation in Artemovsk

Russian troops are in full control of the situation in Artemovsk (the Ukrainian name is Bakhmut) and on its flanks, Denis Pushilin, acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), said on Channel One.

“It remains difficult, but absolutely controllable – the direction of Artemovsk, and both Artemovsk itself, which is fired chaotically, but quite regularly, and the flanks. But positions are held, – leads his words to RIA Novosti.

According to Pushilin, the Russian military improved their positions in the Krasnoliman direction. The acting head of the DPR also pointed out the absence of significant changes in the Avdeevka and Maryinsky directions.

June 21 Pushilin declaredthat the Armed Forces of Ukraine (AFU) are thoughtlessly and chaotically shelling Artemivsk in order to delay the restoration of the city. He explained that the shelling was connected with the fact that the beginning of the restoration of Artemovsk would become a new painful point for Kyiv. “They just delay this period. They survived this pain when the city of Artemovsk was liberated, and now they are simply trying to delay the second pain, ”said the acting head of the DPR, citing the example of how Mariupol is being restored.

At the same time, Pushilin called the situation on the flanks in Artemovsk “quite difficult, but controlled.”

On May 20, the founder of Wagner PMC Yevgeny Prigozhin announced the capture of Artemovsk. On the night of May 21, the transfer of the city under the control of Russia confirmed in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated PMC “Wagner” and the Russian military with the capture of Artemovsk. At the end of May Pushilin emphasizedthat not only housing will be restored in the city, but also jobs and social infrastructure. In early June, Pushilin also promised to restore the champagne factory in Artemovsk.
