Pushilin announced the start of demining work in Artemovsk

In Artemovsk (Ukrainian name – Bakhmut), work began on preliminary demining. This was announced by the acting head of the DPR Denis Pushilin on the air of the Russia 24 TV channel.
“Now, the forces of the guys who liberated Artemovsk are undergoing preliminary demining. It is important for us to carry out a complete demining. This is very painstaking and difficult work, given the scale of the hostilities that took place there, ”he said (cit. according to RIA Novosti).
According to Pushilin, after the demining work is completed, specialists can be invited to the city to assess the state of the infrastructure.
On May 20, the founder of the private military company Wagner, Yevgeny Prigozhin, announced the capture of Artemovsk. He clarified that before May 25, PMC fighters would inspect the territory and, after the creation of defensive lines, they would hand over the city to the military. On the night of May 21, the liberation of Artemovsk confirmed in the Ministry of Defense of the Russian Federation. Russian President Vladimir Putin congratulated PMC “Wagner” and the Russian military with the capture of the city. In the Kremlin press service clarifiedthat all those who distinguished themselves in the battles at Artemovsk will be presented for state awards.
