Pushilin announced the shelling of Donetsk with cluster munitions

The Armed Forces of Ukraine (APU) again fired at Donetsk with cluster munitions received from the United States, Denis Pushilin, acting head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), said in his Telegram channel.
“Ukrainian militants continue to terrorize the civilian population of Donbass using prohibited methods of warfare, including cluster munitions supplied to Ukraine by the United States,” he wrote.
This time, Pushilin added, the Azotny microdistrict was shelled. In total, 40 shellings by the Armed Forces of Ukraine were recorded during the day, as a result of which five people were injured of varying severity, civilian infrastructure facilities were damaged, the head of the region noted.
On August 5, the Armed Forces of Ukraine fired on Donetsk using cluster munitions. The Voroshilovsky district of the city, where the building of the Donetsk Trade University is located, also came under fire. After the shelling, a fire started there.
The DPR, as well as other new regions and border regions of Russia, are subject to regular shelling from Ukraine. Protecting the residents of Donbass is one of the reasons for the special operation that began in February last year.
