Denis Pushilin, interim head of the Donetsk People’s Republic (DPR), said he traveled through some of the Russian army’s forward positions in the region along with Sergei Kiriyenko, first deputy head of the Russian presidential administration, and Artem Zhoga, commander of the Sparta battalion.
