Pushilin allowed the start of a new offensive by the Ukrainian Armed Forces

The head of the DPR, Denis Pushilin, admitted that the Ukrainian Armed Forces could launch a new offensive in October. He announced this on air on the Rossiya 24 TV channel.

“In the southern direction, meaning the Orekhovsk and Ugledar directions, here we see the accumulation of enemy forces, the transfer of reserves, and these reserves are formed at a certain distance from the front line. Apparently, the enemy is still preparing to carry out some more active actions before the onset of the thaw… We see that there are such thoughts, so we do not exclude [возможности нового наступления]”, – he said (cit. according to RIA Novosti).

At the end of September, Dmitry Rogozin, senator from the Zaporozhye region and head of the Tsar’s Wolves unit reported about the accumulation of marine units near Energodar and on the islands of the Kakhovka Reservoir. According to Rogozin, the Ukrainian Armed Forces may try to expand the “udder” of the wedge in the Rabotino-Verbovoye area in order to avoid flank attacks by the Russian Armed Forces.

The Ukrainian Armed Forces began to conduct active offensive operations on June 4. Russian President Vladimir Putin said on June 9 that the counter-offensive of the Ukrainian Armed Forces has definitely begun, but the Ukrainian army is unable to achieve its goals in any sector. During the plenary session WEF he stated that Ukraine has no results, while the losses of the Ukrainian Armed Forces since the beginning of the counter-offensive have already amounted to 71,500 people.

On September 20, Ukrainian President Vladimir Zelensky said in an interview with CNN that he does not know whether the Ukrainian Armed Forces will be able to achieve significant success in the counteroffensive before the end of the year. He noted that he expected a positive decision from the United States on the supply of long-range ATACMS missiles. Otherwise, he said, the Ukrainian Armed Forces will have “more casualties on the battlefield.”
