Protest against NATO membership in Sweden
[ad_1]
In the Swedish city of Gothenburg, a protest against the country’s accession to NATO was held, about 2 thousand people took part in it. This is reported by the Göteborgs-Posten newspaper.
The protesters supported the country’s traditional policy of neutrality and freedom from joining various unions.
It is also noted that the action affected the work of public transport in the city.
Recall that Sweden, together with Finland, applied for NATO membership after the outbreak of hostilities in Ukraine. As a result, Finland was officially admitted to NATO on March 31, 2023, while Turkey and Hungary still have not ratified Sweden’s application amid scandals over the burning of the Koran.
