Prosecutor General of Russia Igor Krasnov and Prosecutor General, Minister of Legal Affairs of Myanmar Thida U signed a memorandum of cooperation, reported on the website of the GP of Russia.
“We have concluded agreements of this kind with the competent authorities of more than 70 countries, their implementation is a powerful impetus for strengthening constructive international contacts, exchanging experience, best supervision practices,” Krasnov said.
The signing took place during Krasnov’s visit to Myanmar. It is noted that this is the first visit of the head of the Russian supervisory agency to the country.
Krasnov also noted that the signing of the memorandum will allow prosecutors from Myanmar to study free of charge at the University of the Prosecutor’s Office of the Russian Federation. The expansion of cooperation will also affect the issues of combating cross-border crime, Krasnov stressed. The Prosecutor General also invited Tida U to Russia for a more detailed acquaintance with the work of Russian colleagues, and also invited her to visit another Eastern Economic Forum in Vladivostok.
