Property of Russian businessman Yevtushenkov confiscated in Ukraine

The High Anti-Corruption Court (VAKS) of Ukraine for the first time ruled to seize property from a Russian citizen. We are talking about a businessman, ex-chairman of the board of directors of the corporation AFK Sistema Vladimir Evtushenkov. Information about this appeared on the VAKS website.
The report notes that the VAKS satisfied the requirements of the Ministry of Justice of the country to confiscate the property of a Russian citizen due to the sanctions imposed against him by Ukraine. The assets will go to the state revenue, the VAKS specified.
How informs TASS, citing the Center for Combating Corruption, we are talking about Vladimir Yevtushenkov. It is reported that the court of Ukraine arrested 17 properties of a businessman, the total area of which is almost 100,000 square meters. m. His shares in several Ukrainian companies were also confiscated.
According to the court, it was established that Yevtushenkov is the owner of several companies that are engaged in the production of drones, the equipment is allegedly used during the Russian special operation in Ukraine. A law adopted in Ukraine allows the confiscation of the property of persons involved in hostilities in the country.
Later, an official representative of AFK Sistema said that the company is not a party to this trial. “At the same time, we are closely monitoring the development of events and are working on ways to protect the interests of the corporation and its numerous shareholders, including international ones,” he said.
Earlier today became known about the confiscation by the Italian authorities of 11 villas of the owner of a Russian manufacturer of mineral fertilizers “Akron» Vyacheslav Kantor, who fell under EU sanctions. It is clarified that the villas either belong directly to the businessman, or are somehow connected with his assets. They are located in the resort of Porto Rotondo (northeast coast of Sardinia).
